On Friday, February 27th and Monday, March 2nd, I worked on capturing the film. 

On Tuesday, March 3rd through March 5th, I worked on transcribing the audio.

Stained Glass Fieldtrip on 2-26-09

Post Video Observations

1. What did you do before, during and after the videotaping? I ran the Panasonic camera, helped set up the lights and helped clean up. 

2. What went well? We white balanced the camera. We got good audio. We made sure the camera was near a power outlet and that it was plugged in. 

3. What things could we improve upon? Make sure we don't get people or equipment in the camera shot that shouldn't be there.

Blown Glass Trip on 2-11-09

Post Video Observations

1. What did I do (tasks) before and during the videotaping? I helped set up the camera & tripods.  I ran one of the cameras during the 2nd demonstration.  I helped clean up. 

2. What went well?  We had two cameras going at the same time which gave us 2 different angles to use. We got good audio.  Things went smoothly.

3. What things could we improve upon? Make sure the camera batteries are working properly.

Gay Wyn interview

Post Video Observations:

1. What did I do (tasks) before and during the videotaping?  I helped set up the lights and the tablecloths.  Afterwards, I helped put away the lights. 

2. What things could we improve upon and suggestions for improvement?  We need to check for reflections on glasses and reposition as necessary.  We also need to double check that the microphones are working correctly and turned on right before we begin. 

3. What parts of her interview were most interesting and what was not interesting?  I enjoyed learning about the history, the tools, techniques, process, uses and chemistry of glass blowing.   A couple times, when she would talk how a specific type of glass worked, I wasn't oriented to that type of glass.  I did find it fascinating though to learn that some types of glass require different processes.  I thought the interview content was very interesting.

Today I found and typed up lots more information, and found pictures. One of the things I found was a list of different compounds and the colors they create in glass.

So far, with my research on Stained Glass, I have found out a little about the history, how it is colored and about some local artists. 

Today, I made a list of the links that I have found and put it into the credits section.  

I also looked up more information and typed up what I found, putting it into my section on our group page.
