Carlos's Notes:
Dec. 15: I worked on my InDesign booklet project. I just need to print pages 2 and 4 on the backs of pages 1 and 3. I began research on the hazards of liquid air. I found a very valuable site that had an extensive amount of information. I put all of the information I found necessary onto the group page. I came up with two questions that I did not have answered, or that I have not yet read, on the site. I will continue using this site and see if it will answer my questions, raise up more questions, or give me more valuable information.
Dec. 17: I finished my InDesign booklet project. Once the blue toner is replaced, I will be able to print it. I am starting on my next unit and project. I still need to organize and save my projects my folder in the Nebulae drive. As a group, we decided the layout of the wiki pages so they look unified and stronger. I put the layouts we decided on into my research notes in both the group page, and my page. I revised the work of my other team members and proofread their work, fixing any mistakes that I found. I also changed the default format of the group page to our format.
Dec. 18: Snow storm today, so I arrived a little later than usual. I started my morning by checking my group and personal wikis. After revising, I began on my "Christmas Project" for that special someone. I made a black and white design in Photoshop that I want to expand and place on a large poster so I can give it to a friend of mine.
Dec. 19: I revised all of my folders I had on my student hardrive and duplicated them into the Nebulae drive so Mr. Black could view and grade them easier. I also wanted to print the projects that I had not yet put in my class folder, but the printer ran out of black toner and it needed to be replaced. I reviewed the group's wiki to see what changes had been made and to see what changes, if any, were made to my notes. I updated my wiki as I waited for my projects to be printed. The design made the previous day was ready to use. I made a few quick adjustments to my design and then we printed it on large, glossy poster board. My friend is going to love it.
Questions:
- What is the safest way to contain, and then transport these cyrogens?
- How do you contain a rapid expansion of the liquid if the temperature shifts dramatically at a very rapid rate?
- What would happen if you solidified the liquids?
